                   You know what, Filipinos are truly strong! But what exactly does the word “resilient” mean? In English it means tough or in Filipino, matatag. But why are Filipinos so strong? the Filipinos went through many difficult events, but they did not gave up. They fought until their last breath.

 

                 The history and poverty of the Filipinos is one of the things that has strengthened its people. When the Spaniards, Americans and Japanese occupied us, we lost our true rights as Filipinos. Many has suffered, accused and died, but we Filipinos fought and did not give up until they regained our countries independence. Today, Filipinos continue to suffer because of selfish leaders who only wants to be rich, as a result, there is still poverty and lack of proper educations going on because of the government negligence. Even in this case, the Filipinos will not let them, lose their lives due to poverty, they each have a strategy to live their lives happily. Even with a big storm passing by, you can still see the smile on their faces, which is why Filipinos are resilient.

                 Anyone can be a resilient person, you only need some support to you family, friends and loved ones to help you become tough and face the world, like you’ve never done before. Some people became tough, and one of the reasons is because of bullies, they encourage you to be tough and stand in your own feet.
