A week that can change everything
An estimated 12.6 million people died as a result of living or working in an unhealthy environment in 2012 – nearly 1 in 4 global deaths. Environmental risk factors such as air, water and soil pollution, chemical exposures, climate change, and ultraviolet radiation contribute to more than 100 diseases and injuries. This unhealthy environment they are leaving on affected a lot of people.
This Pursuant to Proclamation No. 1667, s. 2008, November 19 to 25 of every year is declared as the National Climate Change Consciousness Week!, and this year theme is “adapting a sustainable future”.On November 19-27 2020, DENR takes an action for this week in this year and this week aims to create awareness on global warming and climate change by pursuing broad and intensive public information and education campaigns to secure the collective cooperation of the private and public sector. This climate change week has many activities for the participants. And with this climate change consciousness week it helps us to be aware what is happening in our environment and nature we our leaving in, thanks to this program which can benefit us a lot, to take care our mother nature, so that there will be a reserved ecosystem for the next generation, as a student I can help taking care of our environment by influencing others and by studying hard, because someday, we will live peaceful and healthy because of our clean environment.
During this pandemic, nothing can stop them to celebrate this national climate change consciousness week, because they will find a way to celebrate this, by following the health protocols, all people can create an awareness on global warming and climate change, as long as they have discipline to their self and respect for our nature.
