The Battle of Bataan: Araw ng kagitingan
In this time we are fighting against the covid-19 virus, everybody is helping each other to fight this virus and also our hero in this time of pandemic is our frontliners. Our frontliners is our current hero, heroes in the past are not to be forgotten because they fought and sacrificed for us just to make our country free.
One of the battles that filipinos fought is the Battle of bataan, which the Philippine commonwealth and the United States fought together against Japan during Word War II on January 7 - April 9 1942. In january 1942, the forces of the Imperial Japanese Army and Navy invaded Luzon along with several islands in the Philippine Archipelago after the bombing of the American naval base at pearl harbor. In every April 9 we commemorate the “Araw ng kagitingan” which serves as a national memorial day for the brave souls who fought during the Fall of Bataan. We should be thankful for this brave filipinos who fought for our country, even they are long gone, they are still in our heart. We salute all filipino soldier, because of their bravery and they are sacrificing their lives just for the sake of our country.
Everyday we must keep ourselves always ready because you don’t need a hero, if you can protect yourself and others. April 9 1942 the day that filipinos fought against japan and also the “Araw ng kagitingan” or the day of bravery for the brave souls who fought during the Fall of Bataan.
